Town Crier Fact o' the Day: The first town criers were runners in Ancient Rome. Upon the Senate passing laws, taxes and such , young boys wouldst then run to the nearest villages/towns to relay the news. They wouldst stand in the town center and yell, or "cry" the news for all to hear.
