Congratulations to 2nd year student Conn Mc Cluskey who has won the Junior Boys All Ireland High Jump final in Tullamore for the 2nd year in a row! Last year, he won the Minor Boys High Jump title. Everyone in the College is extremely proud of this magnificent achievement!

First years have finished up the year in Visual Art completing a very successful needle felting project on the theme of bugs. These skills will be built on further over the next 2 years in Visual Art. Well done to each student.

Yesterday, the top collecting classes in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year for Run for Life got a great treat! They headed to the cinema and enjoyed a movie and treats for the afternoon.

Classes 3.5 and 3.6 took on a History trip to the St Stephen's Green Famine Exhibition today. This helped them connect their learning with historical reality and helped prepared them for the upcoming Junior Cycle exam. Well done boys.

Today, we hosted the GAA All Stars Awards. We also took the opportunity to present the Junior Football and 2nd Year Hurling Teams with their Leinster Medals won this year. Big thanks to past student and Dublin Senior Footballer Theo Clancy for presenting the awards this morning

Yesterday our Librarians, accompanied by Ms Downey, attended the @KidsBooksIrel Ceremony 2025 at @DublinLiteracy. Having read and discussed the shortlisted books, we were delighted to see our top choice win the Junior Juries' Award! Well done Little Bang by Kelly McCaughrain!

Congratulations to 2nd year student Conn Mc Cluskey who won the Leinster Junior Boys high jump final in a new PB of 1.80m in Tullamore. Conn will now represent the College in the All-Ireland Final during the June Bank Holiday weekend.

One of the TY Friday modules this year was rock climbing in @awesomewallsdublin. This has pushed our students to try something new and gain confidence in their abilities.

Last Friday, 4.6 cooked up a big breakfast ahead of sports day! The students had a choice of what kind of breakfast to make, so we had an array of pancakes, french toast, sausages, rashers, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, bread and more!

Transition Year students  participated in the Public Access to Law (P.A.L.) National Mock Trials Competition on Saturday. The students engaged in mock trials, and after a great performance, they made it to the next round on Saturday May 17th!  Well done boys and best of luck!

First Year Cookery Club and TY French have been cooking up a storm. First years baked chocolate fondant last Friday, which were delicious, while TYs made Pan Perdu, which is the original version of French Toast! Tasty work!

The time is almost here for the 6th years vs Teachers annual football match. Tensions are rising in school already, with the students talking a big game. 1:30 tomorrow, bring in €2 to participate in the non uniform fundraiser and watch the match!

Tomorrow there will have a non uniform day in aid of the TY trip to Zambia in June. Please wear red, orannge and green to represent the Zambian flag if possible and bring a donation of €2.

Last Friday, Our TYs were joined by @straphaelas in Leisureplex in Tallaght to celebrate the end of the musical. They got a chance to bowl and play pool, catching up after the Easter break. Time to finally say "Bye Bye Bye" 😢

A day to remember at Cathal Brugha Barracks! TY and 5th years got a first hand look at life in the Defence Forces- from kit demos to teamwork in action. The students had a fantastic time getting to understand how the army works. Thank you to the guidance counselors for organising.

On Wednesday, the TY Volleyball team had a fantastic day out at the South East Beach's Schools Volleyball tournament. A great day was had by all and it is great that the students got to try out a new sport!
