We commend the NZ Govt's new plan to disrupt maritime meth trafficking in the Pacific.
The key challenge noted by advisors: "fragmented, slow systems".
We're built for this—fusing data into a picture that can be shared rapidly across agencies and borders.

The failure of the FURIA in the Danish Straits and the grounding of KOMANDER in the Suez Canal are not isolated accidents.
They are the inevitable, kinetic consequence of the "shadow fleet": ageing, uninsured vessels operating outside maritime law.

Mass and persistence matter — but so does fusion. At Starboard, we fuse over a billion data points every day to track over 250 thousand vessels worldwide. That same model is now being adapted for defence — bringing seabed-to-space awareness to modern operations.
"If perfected, autonomous systems offer huge advantages but will rely on command and control infrastructure, data fusion, and the ability to operate autonomously in some of the world’s harshest seas, technology that is still far from mature."
