Stansfield Academy is an Alternative Provision Academy providing full time education for children from 4-16 years of age.
Our Primary pupils have been working with Devon County Council looking at reducing waste and recycling. They collect a days worth of rubbish from the site and completed an audit together! What great but smelly work!!

Our secondary pupils have been exploring SFX make-up during some of their vocational lessons. This week they have been using special effect wax to create wounds. They have learnt how to blend into the skin and create a blood like effect using face paints.

Our primary pupils have had a great day celebrating the end of term, they have designed and made their own pizzas, had lots of water fun and finished the day off with a PJ and film party.

Our Year 11 pupils had a lovely evening in the sunshine celebrating the end of their exams and time at school with staff and parents. We wish all lots of luck on their next adventure.

Some of our students visited Venn Farm. The trip gave students a first hand look at an active construction site. They learned about stages of construction and skills needed for a career in the industry. A great way to connect what they’re learning in school with real-world opportunities.

It was lovely to welcome so many of our year 11 pupils and their parents on site this evening for parents evening. It was great to see the pride our pupils showed whilst sharing their learning with their parents.
