Soooo...my husband took me out to dinner tonight. That isn't unusual...what was unusual is that he kept it a secret. Just told me we were leaving at 6pm and to get a sitter for my Mother. He never does that and it was fun!

We have a new amish "store" that opened near my house that was profiled by the local news. While I think it is a good thing, they stated that many people have to go out of state for groceries. That is true, but it literally takes me 5 minutes to drive out of state to the closest grocery stopre.

Inspected my 2 smaller beehives. Gave them mite treatments. Borrowed honey from one of the bigger hives. (but not from the mean hive.) No stings.

All of this acetaminophen talk made me think of one of my first jobs. I was in the lunch room one day and one of the physician's had taught her 2 little girls to say, "Tylenol is acetaminophen." They were so proud to say that big of a word. I think they were 4 and 5 years old.

My dermatologist wants me to get ivermectin cream/lotion for my face (rosacea). Insurance won't pay for it so she said to get the OTC version. It only is available in lice preparations otc. So...I asked the clerk where to find it and she takes me to the lice section.

I have been teaching a college program for the last 7 years since I retired. I was notified that the state didn't approve the funds this year, so my program was cut, along with many others. I will be ok. It was extra travel money and I enjoyed teaching the students.

I know I'm weird, but I love math. It's like a puzzle to me. Someone posted a nursing formula on facebook, and I can solve it in an easier way than the formula. Just how my mind rolls.

Do you go to your high school reunions? I went to 2 high schools. My first high school in LA is really doing cool things at their reunion. I have a few friends that I would like to see, but not enough to go. It is also across the country. I went to a few reunions of my second high school.

My Daddy was very frugal growing up, but when we got older, he did splurge on experiences and good dinners. We went on a trip to the Loire Valley in France. He was great at finding really cool hotel gems. We did have to stay at La Defense in Paris (because it was free with FF points). Anyway,

I grew up in the south, east, north and west, but have never been to the northwest of our country. That will change this weekend. I can't wait to visit Seattle and experience the food and the sights!

Some good news...I have been having some medical issues for awhile and I had a really good Dr's visit today! Everything was good and within range.
