Got a letter from Sen. Cornyn: “When we look for a solution to rising healthcare cost we should not listen to the same people who sold us Obamacare on false premises…& prefer we continue to prop up a failed system… the failing system of Obamacare.” So the GOP plan on ACA subsidies is to repeal it.

I have limited expectations for digital privacy when I’m a user. But it is remarkably invasive of Meta to retain & share non-users’ personal info without notice or opt-out options when a third party provides it, & much worse to retain a non-user’s information even if the non-user tells them not to.

We need to stop viewing our age as exceptional. People (including scientists) have been passionately wrong about the natural world for at least the history of the western world. As long as inquiry persists error gets corrected. What we need to advocate is continuing inquiry with minimum quackery.
