Paul Robeson and I went to the same HS in NJ, so I grew up learning about him.

I feel like he's not as well-remembered today as he should be.

If I'm ever feeling beat, I often think of the incredible upstream battles this man fought. Just an astonishing life: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Ro...

Top right corner. Can't help but wonder if The Simpsons paid subtle tribute to Dan McQuade in tonight's set-in-Philadelphia 800th episode.

Predicted wind chills for tomorrow morning. No thanks. Stay inside if you can today, folks. Temps and wind chills expected to fall throughout the day.

Sigh. Woke up seeking results in the too-close-to-call NJ congressional race to replace Gov. Mikie Sherrill.

Really bummed that, for the first time in my memory, the state's largest news organization, NJ.com*, isn't publishing them live.

For my money, few things humble an American politician in the northeast more than a snowstorm they didn't effectively clean up. Some learn, some don't.

Philadelphians are frustrated with the city’s snow storm cleanup. What does that mean for Mayor Cherelle Parker?
Snowstorms are infamous for their ability to undermine constituents’ faith in their mayors. The risk of fallout could be heightened for Parker, who campaigned on a promise to provide city services.

Projected goals scored this year would be down 27% since 2022-23, have been down every year since, and the #NJDevils are tied for 2nd worst scoring rate in the league.

But sure, there's probably nothing systemic going on here.

Philadelphia should join the trend of cities naming their snow plows:

#NJDevils D-man Dougie Hamilton was a healthy scratch Jan. 10 as trade speculation swirled.

Since, he's got 2G-9A-11P in 9 games and is on a 10-game point scoring streak, the longest currently in the NHL.

Here's a first pass on an #NJDevils game and seasonal player tracker.

I think pretty fair for first cut. Only six players had a decent game last night (though I think Dougie was worse than this).

No player has had an 'elite' season.

Open to feedback!

Plows in Philadelphia appear to have made good progress overnight.

Per PlowPHL, most main roads have been treated in last six hours (dark blue) and most side streets have been treated in last 12 hours (light blue).
