In charge of Chemistry at SSERC. If you're teaching chemistry in Scotland (and beyond) we're here to help.
(Opinions all my own)
If the H&S session doesn't tickle your fancy. There is a cehmistry one at 4:00pm on some chemistry related to the number 60 - paramagnetism, complexes and microtitrations. All welcome.

Evening all. A bit late on this. But as part of the SSERC 60 celebrations, I'm doing a session on the Advisory service - A brief history and then a live Q&A. 2pm tomorrow if you fancy it. teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-joi...

ELECTRIC BUNSEN BURNERS
it occurs to me that it would be useful to find out about usage I would be grateful for any input.
1. Is your school using them? (details of location, even just country, would be helpful).
2. If so, do you have any comments on their usability, safety etc?

Great first day on the AH Chemnistry Projects course. Analysis, Extraction and Synthesis - enough to keep any chemist happy. And there's more tomorrow!

A great day at St Andrews. Great lectures, lunch in the sunshine and some fascinating demonstrations of anthocyanins to finish off.

Hi Everyone. SSERC Chemistry has made the jump to Bluesky. Here's a pretty picture of a (so far) vain attempt to use potassium permanganate to determine the amount of alcohol in a solution. Not giving up yet though.
