A wreath laying ceremony will be held at Westminster Abbey today to mark the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide. Attended by survivors & government representatives, the ceremony will honour the victims and reaffirm the UK's commitment to remembrance.

Today’s “Letter from Bosnia” comes from our Elmina Kulasic, who was just a child when she became imprisoned in the Trnoplje concentration camp. “The genocide in BiH did not happen overnight. It was systematically planned. I survived to be the voice for those that did not”. #Srebrenica30

Last week, we marked the UK’s national commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide
at St Pauls Cathedral

We gathered in remembrance & heard powerful survivor testimonies from Munira Subašić & Elmina Kulašić.

We left with renewed responsibility.

Between 20,000–50,000 Bosniak Muslim women were raped during the Bosnian genocide.
