yuuuupppp. i feel like the angle of "i smell bad but i want people to enjoy it" is CRIMINALLY underserved. all scent kink art with dialogue is just "you're such a fuckin weirdo for liking this, you little freak" or "god you smell awful, this sucks" like no!!!! this does nothing for me!!!

it actually came from a bigger modern fantasy AU where magic takes the form of actual forces that exist in a sort of aether outside the regular plane of existence, & souls are just one of those forces reaching thru into our world and taking a physical form and becoming a sort of gaseous brain ^-^

it feels like a "how could this not be self-explanatory" thing to me, but like. it definitely requires life and death to work very differently in your fiction compared to real life, in mine there isn't necessarily any physical object required to sustain a consciousness (or souls are made of magic)

for me it's usually souls or merging. even just the vague idea that the prey is still conscious and existing somehow (even if they aren't present in the immediate vicinity) is enough for me cuz i get rly fucked up by thinking about death too deeply, and yet i am afflicted with a digestion kink

it's also wish fulfillment, all my fursonas are short because i wish i was shorter than like 5'10' and i wish someone could pick me up and do unspeakable things to me (suck on my head like a lollipop). it's fun to analyze the motivation behind ur character designs/lore!

-it to other ppl and the unanimous reaction is "oh man this is awesome!" really i think it's just easy to get in your own head when you know the entire process of how you made something and all your little habits. if you aren't comfortable posting it, i'd at least recommend showin it to friends!

my advice? i feel like a lot of artists feel that way, but getting positive feedback from others might help you build more confidence about it. i always have a buncha nitpicks with my art when i post it, like "oh man i wish i could do this better" or "this came out kinda half-baked" but then i show-

honestly most names i use anywhere are me throwing stuff at the wall and picking the thing that takes the longest to fall off. i have not been fully comfortable with a name for myself, any of my characters, or any of my online accounts in a very long time and i don't see that changing anytime soon

the Splatoon squid amiibo is a really good shout, i think a large portion of their stuff is gonna be merch and plushies. maybe some retro gaming stuff, DEFINITELY a bunch of fun lights i can turn on/off as needed, maybe some framed photos... i swear i'm gonna have so much fun with it
