From Nunavut to Big Berta
@pathsforpeople.bsky.social where can we report/advocate for better infrastructure? Almost got flattened by someone not paying attention to flashing crosswalk lights on 106 Ave in Forest Heights. I truly believe it's a matter of time before someone is killed on this road.

After yesterday's snow, roads are melted and clear today. A little bit of partially melted snow and ice on the Ottewell shared pathway but not too bad! Really nice weather for it today. #yegbike

Because people think it's super cool to post what they think is a "gotcha" about the likely Kamloops burial sites:
We fact-checked residential school denialists and debunked their ‘mass grave hoax’ theory
Contrary to what some ‘denialists’ believe, research shows that Canadian media outlets did not help circulate a ‘mass grave hoax’ regarding unmarked graves at former Indian Residential Schools.

The Trump regime is now using US Attorneys to intimidate academic journals by sending them letters demanding they explain how they ensure ‘viewpoint diversity.’ Journal editors should be public about this and coordinate to refuse to comply with these fascist tactics.

Gonna keep saying this: In the 1840s, Southerners insisted that they could kidnap any person they alleged was a slave without any state or federal process. This turned even minimal process into resistance and raised the salience of the issue, which radicalized a bunch of people against slavery.
Friendly reminder:

Due process is how we can be sure the people Miller and his henchmen are removing are legally subject to removal in the first place.

If tariffs persist, Canadian economy will shrink permanently by 3%. Enormous pain. But Northern US states will feel extraordinary pain, too. Asymmetric retaliation options include not respecting US copyrights, including around things like drug licensing. Options are on the table.
