Artists describe emotion so the audience feels less alone in theirs. It's about communication; we try to model the artist's mind in our own and feel the work through the simulation inside our mind. For AI art there is nothing to simulate; no man behind the curtain. It's neat but lonely.

The problem is that you can't tell what a nonconscious living thing wants in the first place. What if the toaster hates toasting bread and killing it would be the most ethical thing to do? etc.
