I wonder if Clase/Ortiz had family or friends being threatened in DR and hence got involved in the gambling scheme. Otherwise why throw away a career for pocket change.

Sigh. The Clase/Ortiz indictment is just awakening all the dumb shohei gambling conspiracists/ engagement farmers again. You show them a hen laying an egg and say”this is an egg” and they say “ no way that is an egg” “I don’t care that I saw a hen lay it- it isn’t an egg”.

Excellent breakdown by Yakyu Cosmopolitan of the comparisons between Munetaka and Shohei. My thoughts had been that Munetaka was high risk but was also potential for high rewards. The question is if he can make adjustments like Shohei did.

That health coverage plan Cassidy the simp proposed is basically an HSA. Fine for small expenses but useless for real coverage. You still have to buy insurance , and nothing will stop the companies from increasing premiums and denying coverage. Ridiculous.

The whole Scott Adams situation is disgusting. The number of right wing wealthy and high level individuals pushing barriers aside for him is ridiculous, especially in contrast to the struggle that goes on now for the average Joe. And with Medicaid cuts the situation will worsen.

It will be interesting next yr when Sho will largely have completely returned to baseline as a pitcher to figure out load management both during the regular season and beyond as a TWP.
