Sometimes life gives you a pat on the shoulder and shows you it's gonna be ok. Had a great morning skate, coffee with a sexy beast, and my afternoon league team won 7-0. While D isn't my strong suit, no one scored or even got off a shot on my watch. Passes on tape and good shots all around.

I'm not one for posting the political landscape of the neighbors right now, but the comments here are hilarious fun. If it was a hoagie from V&S sandwich in PA, buddy would have had a broken nose!
It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

Late fall skies on a stormy evening. A train full of weary work-a-day folks heading home, hoping to catch the Jays game on TV. Wasn't thinking a whole lot about the image tbh... just the skies looked interesting. Plus trains... :)

Nice mid-week break for me. Heading to an awards ceremony and luncheon for long service members. For me it's an award and watch for 25 yrs of service. I'm actually starting year 28 of service now. Box Caprices, Crown Vic's and Taurus, plus Explorers. How time flies.

I hate getting sick. Aside from the obvious physical symptoms, my anxiety and depression tends to flare up as well, making the whole thing awkward to navigate.
I also noticed my resting heart rate is elevated by nearly 30bpm.
Think I'll get an early night tonight.

Sitting in the hospital cafe trying to cool down from her lastest round of nonsense, treating the staff poorly and refusing to do as she's asked.
Drs keep asking me about dementia and or delirium. Don't know what to do.

Despite the crazy week post tourney with Mom's health, life lifted me back up again. Dad surprised me by coming out to watch my True North game Tuesday night. I noticed him yelling and waving his cane in the stands. I put a point on the board, and he met me post skate to tell me how proud he was.

So it's looking like I'll be coming out of "retirement" and judging a pup contest in December in Toronto.
Kinda unsure about wading back into the mainstream, but doing it for the community and the younger generation, who will carry it forward.
