I finished Daemon X Machina.
That was a bad game. Like, shockingly bad. I really wanted to like it but nope, that game is a shitshow.

Played through ghost of tsushima. That is a 6/10 game if I've ever seen one. It's very thoroughly average in almost all respects, but gets an extra point for having gorgeous environments.

I grabbed astlibra revision during steam's summer sale. I figured I'd like it but I didn't expect to get so hooked on it that I'd ignore everything else I bought to no life it.
I just got the true ending and I have to say, that game is a 10/10

Picked up angel's gear during the steam summer sale and holy shit that game starts strong. It opens with some cool lore straight into the storming of normandy, then the moon explodes and a dragon crashes into the earth and starts nuking the battlefield.

Just found out that instead of doing the good thing and remaking the art assets by hand, the front mission 3 remake is just chock full of AI generated images that were made to look vaguely like the original images. Fuck that game forever and fuck square enix for green lighting this.

You know, I liked the first splitgate, and I was looking forward to the second, but uh...nah, not anymore. The game's CEO and PR guy have been working overtime to try and show why you should never touch their game.

Started ace combat 3 afterwards and what the fuck even is that game.
To start, the american release was massively butchered. The japanese version of the game has animated FMV cutscenes along with full voice acting, all of which was removed from the american release

Finished ace combat 2. What a step up from the first game. I wasn't a huge fan of the gimmick missions (the ravine and "attack a ground target with machine guns" missions in particular) but over all, it was a really good evolution of what made the first one fun.

Ace Combat 2 has a pseudo-achievement system where you can get medals for shooting down specific planes during your missions. I shot down one called the "Hangman" and goddamn if it doesn't have the coolest medal ever

Finished air combat and wow, they really did just figure out their loop in that first game for better and for worse. Those ravine missions are terrible and they stay terrible forever, across the entire franchise. The rest of the game rules though.

I started replaying air combat on a whim today and I have to say, it's amazing how little those games have changed over the years.
They absolutely nailed the gameplay loop on their first go and have just been refining it since then.

Damn, Devil summoner's getting a remaster. I wasn't expecting that, but fuck yeah, that game was great. Here's hoping the second gets one too

I saw some discussion about bioshock infinite a bit ago and that reminded me; man, I fucking hate that game, and I especially hate that it's so well regarded by people who don't think about its plot for longer than five seconds.

I was checking out games in steam's winter sale and there was one I was eyeing that had a couple of negative reviews from people saying it was abandoned.
I checked out the game's forum and saw someone asking if that was the case. The dev responded saying that no, the game was just finished.
