Strawman Elegy comic 30 transcript Panel 1 The friend shows Fina her phone. Friend: "Get this! He's been making comics for a while..." "But they only started to gain traction after you joined in!" Fina listens warily, hugging her pillow. Panel 2 Fina: "...Are you guilt tripping me into staying?" Friend (insistently): "Oh no!" "Ye of little faith!" "I was just thinking, if you have that much impact on him..." Panel 3 Friend (as echoes of the past): "Maybe all you need is..." "...to tell him how you truly feel?" Fast-forward to after Strumano's confession... (see Strawman Elegy comic 17) Fina (off-panel, sternly): "You never needed a model." Panel 4 Fina (continued): "What you need" "is..." "a girlfriend." Strawman Elegy comic 31 transcript Panel 1 The next morning. Fina is working at Monomart behind the cash register. Her boss is watching from the side. Fina (thinking): "I feel like crap." "I wish mental health day were real." Panel 2 Monomart boss urges Fina to smile with a trademark pose. Monomart boss (loudly): "Smile!" Fina pops a vein without smiling. Panel 3 Fina imagines Strumano talking about his work on his desk. Fina (off-panel, thinking): "I wonder... am I just beating Strumano up..." "...because he doesn't fight back?" Panel 4 Back to reality. Fina (off-panel, thinking): "Unlike this guy..." "Or" "Mom..." Monomart boss (deemphasized): "Smile! I said smile!" Note: the speech bubbles were arranged in such a way that the word "or" covers the boss's face, to deemphasize him.

Panel 2 Fina is smiling, but pop veins as she hold back anger. Fina: "But sir... He was hitting on me." Monomart Boss (off-panel): "Sigh. This is why I prefer male employees." Fina: "Pardon?" Panel 3 Fast-forward, Fina finished her store shift and then went to Strumano's office. Fina: "Sigh." "Hi Boss." Strumano: "Hey Fina, check this out!" How to Food - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 August has a variety of ingredients on the kitchen counter. Including "Meaty Sodium Strips", cheese, eggs, an onion, a tomato, and what one might assume is olive oil but the bottle says "All of Oil" so honestly, I don't know what it is. Gustopher is unsure what this is all about. August is wearing his "COOKING PAPA" apron. Gustopher: Are you making omelettes? August: I'm teaching you how to make them. Panel 2 Gustopher is surprised. His Dad has always taken care of the majority of cooking. The Meaty Sodium Strips are just chilling on the counter. Gustopher: Really? You always make breakfast. August: I won't always be around to make it. Panel 3 Suddenly, Gustopher is hit with an overwhelming sense of dread. He's not really registering what his dad is saying. The Meaty Sodium Strips sit menacingly on the counter. August: And learning to cook is important. First we should- Panel 4 Gustopher flings his arms in the air and yells out- Gustopher: I DON'T WANT YOU TO DIE! It occurs to August that he probably could have phrased his comment about not being around to make breakfast a little better. The Meaty Sodium Strips want you to know that one strip contains five hundred times your recommended daily allotment of sodium.
