great little tip i learned - "if config.developer" is useful for stopping test menus from showing up in final builds of your game.
clicking start on the main menu jumps to a scene select menu for easy testing, but if you run an exported build it will go to the introduction scene!

Very cool but also darkly funny to me that I, someone who catastrophically burned out of maths academia, am getting new citations in academic works and courses as a writer of fiction. Guess that B in high-school English Lit wasn't for nothing :)

I have some hard to articulate quibbles with some of this but it captures some of the reasons why I am so troubled by the simplistic and dogmatic anti-BL, anti-kink etc attitudes I see so commonly in queer game dev circles.

I've been slowly improving the Northanger Sprites in advance of an eventual Steam release, this is probably the one I was least happy with and it's definitely improved! Never think it's too late to improve your art, I was in my late 30s when I drew the first lot and am still learning in my 40s.
