The #Finmari benthic lander was successfully deployed today. It will measure near-bottom flow, particle and nutrient dynamics for the next 6 weeks in the RCF #PHYTOTRANS project.

New paper. We show that the phosphate pool is still increasing in the Gulf of Finland and picophytoplankton, seem to play an important role in its uptake. This is opposed the the more traditional view of filamentous cyanobacteria doing this.
