Waves make me happy. They remind me of how powerful nature is.

What inspires you?

Adorable
A Tawny Owl roosting only a few minutes from our doorstep. Lovely to see, had it to ourselves and left it alone after just a couple of minutes with the camera at a respectable distance.

Would you wear these? I'm working on some illustrations for products for a new project. And I'm curious - would bird watchers, crane fans, or people who do not like boring shirts wear shirts with these illustrations on them?

Frog Friday is a brilliant idea. We need more love for these hoppers.

Great sculpture too.

Spunky sparrow gets the first grub every morning. The sparrows are already nesting - or do they ever stop nesting?

Sketch and study playing with posca acrylic paint markers and watercolor. Busy like a sparrow tends to be.

Watching hooded crows dance around a dumpster can remind you that perhaps you should be spending your day filled with as much enthusiasm crows have with dumpsters.

Personally, i’ll stick to cafes for lunch but to each their own..

Today’s nature moment. Watching what I think is a honey bee gather pollen. Just the busy life of a bee. But it’s beautiful to see. 🐝

Myth: If There’s a Ramp, It’s Accessible.

Busted 🎇
Accessibility isn’t just about getting through the door. A ramp doesn’t help if aisles are narrow or cluttered, tables can’t be moved, or restrooms are on another level.

Wet. For #januarty

An elephant seals playing on the beach.
When the world is your playground, how nice it is to see joy.

Rather than all the mess we humans make.

My spirit bird is a gull.

Lately it’s been the black headed gull, we tend to hang out in the same areas enjoying the same thing like the sunsets and waves…

Flavor for today’s #januarty
Ringed bill gull flying off with a capelin it just caught - #painting on canvas.

Gulls must enjoy flavor - I wonder do they think capelin taste better than crabs or are they just happy to find something to eat?

My favorite bird of 2026 so far, a hooded crow

Terrible photo quality but the moment of seeing them for the first time resonates.

Trees are more than a home for a squirrel or a perch for a bird, but I seem to have forgotten about their magic because I haven't painted a tree in a very long time.

For today's theme of Tree for #Januarty #Januarty2026
I'm sharing a very old painting from the vault..

Matching is today’s #januarty
not sure if any matching happens in my work.
But I do make series of work that all match because of the subject or theme… does this count?
Here’s an example of work that matches because of the theme.

Migration - birds that know no boundaries

#JanuArty Fresh. Fresh ideas. Fresh thoughts. Fresh ways of creating.
I’ve been playing with new approaches to sketching. Boldest part? I’m creating what I want, my way - my fresh approach for 2026.
If it sells. Great. If you like it even better, but what matters most.. does it bring me joy?
