Having them change DK's design after 30 years of it consistently being the Rareware design feels odd to me. You'd think that'd just be solidified as the regular design but anything can change.
RIP Rareware Donkey Kong, you had a good run. My favorite Rare DK memory? This ad for DK64 with a hideously oversized Lanky Kong.

My rule is I give any new ASM run a chance, while I don't like a lot of what is going on now perhaps Kelly will be able to 'write' the ship. Though I highly suspect that some of the more annoying things like Chasm & Queen Goblin aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
