Hi I’m Anthea. Researching theatre with women peace campaigners.
Out seeking the wolf moon. Trying to feel grounded in the politically dark times. How do ordinary citizens influence peace and international law against the big man politics. I’m in Canada for another day.

PHD kick off

“Starting my PhD at 60+ feels both exhilarating and slightly surreal. I’m learning again how to be a beginner — to listen deeply, question boldly, and be comfortable not having all the answers.” #PhDJourney #60PlusStudent

Still really buoyed up by this encounter - realise the need to care care of myself and others when we are trying to engage with the big stuff.
Commonweal Connections yesterday focused on Community of Care: How do we create a community of care within social change movements? We talked about the cycle of despair & action, the need to find people who share your perspective, the need for time out, to get away from it all & for moments of joy.
