Whatever you are looking for, the answer is not in here. Stop scrolling, call your legislators, make a sign, and go protest this regime.

Dear DJT,

You can kiss your Nobel Peace Prize chances away now.

The first amendment simply protects us from being arrested by the government for speaking out against it. We as a society have to decide what is acceptable free speech. Will we tolerate any news source lying to us? Hyperbole sells, so should accept misinformation for the sake of profit?

If the Fairness Doctrine were brought back, we would want it to apply to broadcast, cable, satellite, and stream. The point is to advocate for a balanced and unbiased perspective on important issues.
June 13, 2025 at 2:24 PM
Fox? OAN? Newsmax? Fox gets away with it because they don't claim to be an actual news source, just entertainment, which is BS.
June 13, 2025 at 2:12 PM
There is no confusion here. The Fairness Doctrine was repealed in 1987 under Reagan. When broadcast licenses were no longer required to provide a balanced and unbiased perspective on important issues, they could go rogue on conspiracy theories and never have to offer a counterpoint.

It's possible, but first, we need to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine and repeal the Supreme Courts decision on Citizens United. These two things are at least partially responsible for where we find ourselves now battling authoritarianism, oligarchy, and a deeply divided America.

I'm showing up, peacefully, for the No Kings protest in Boise Idaho. What city will you be showing up to protest oligarchy, authoritarianism, and Kleptocracy?

FUN FACT:

When fascism came to America all of the 2nd Am. ammosexuals stood all the way the fuck down. Not a peep out of the “don’t tread on” me crew.
Not a word.

It was the uber liberally hippy avocado toast betas of California who stared down the GESTAPO and said “not the fuck on my watch!”

I get your point. It should have been Trump addressing the national regarding the conflict. But he didn't. Newsom is just filling the gap, and it was like a breath of fresh air.
June 11, 2025 at 1:24 PM
Thank you, Gavin Newsom, for demonstrating the leadership our nation so desperately craves and for the courage to speak out against DJT on behalf of the citizens of California and of the USA!

I am 56, and I still shave my legs. I wonder why we women feel we need to look like prepubescent girls?
