With a heavy heart I have to announce a hiatus on the project.
The details can be found in the itch devlog post, but the short and long of it is that I (Chris/Kräs) currently cannot afford any further work on it due to many different reasons.

Hey everyone, Chris here, lead and writer of Sparks a Tale of Ink. There haven't really been any updates recently and I'd like to shed some light on that. The short of it: We are taking a long break.....

Work on the next build is ongoing but a little slower than anticiapted due to technical and personal issues!
Once there's enough progress we'll gladly share some teasers for upcoming art in the next build(s) though!

While Sparks was still in planning, Zhangken was supposed to be a Pine Marten!
I decided him to be a sable later due to him being from another region!
