Multiple artist YouTubers I follow all recommended to just do it - no plan, no expectations - art for the sake of art. So I did... at least its recognizable. Is it great? No. Did I enjoy the process? Yes. This is my new Betta friend; he shares my workspace. ♡

Spring has sprung - our container bulbs are thriving... especially this bleeding heart and the tiny hosta filling in around it. A baby lilac, poker plant, and hydrangea bushes are doing great too. Hoping to add a Snowball Tree, camelia, dogwood, maples, & a billion marigolds & chrysanthymums. ♡

Miss Zelda has been excellent company. She has the SOFTEST bunny fur, an impressive purr, and curls up like a little rolly polly bug with one paw touching me as she naps. ♡ There are worse ways to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Also planted seeds I harvested from my last Spiderwort plant. The gardening bug is waking up in me - I'm really starting to get excited planning my veggie plots & flowers.

My day is about embracing cozy, quiet, soul-nourishing sanctuary. B made me a cup of soup (to which I've added Harissa spices & curry) & art projects. I've spent 2 hours painting already - next, I'll start practicing my newest hobby, needle punch. My rhythm and techniques improves a bit each day. ♡

My sweet, sweet Olive Jean. She'll be 14 in April - she's been in our family since she was 4 months old. Now totally blind, she spends her days snuggled under a blanket, next to me while I work. 12 pounds of Doxie-Yorkie Awesomeness!

Starting to plan for this year's gardening. Whilst primarily flowers - there will be select hers & veggies too. I'm limited in what I can do these days (mobility) - so looking at small focus gardens, like a salsa garden, a couple of 3 Sisters plantings, and of course, Jupiter's Pumpkin Patch.

95% done with the long weekend project. It started with stripping thick, poorly applied paint to these cheap knock-off Nemesis figures. These are my Majikitties 1-Lapis, 2-Malachite, 3-Zoilite (not done yet), and 4-Ammolite. Last pictures are before & after of each.
