Watched a bit of a film last night. At first, it seems like another “sympathy for the robot” film. But on a deeper level, it’s also showing us how dehumanizing interacting with AI is. The more we treat AI like people, the worse we get at interacting with people and the worse people we become.

Reducks couldn't be more launched if it tried & has the BEST campaign video.

An EXCELLENTLY illustrated choose your own adventure about YOU, a duck, attempting to stop a bomb exploding. You get a hat. There will be puns.

Prepping my Strontium Dog game for #dundracon this weekend, I ran a trial session with some friends.
I’m not sure that the Traveller rules are a good fit for Strontium Dog: combat is incredibly fast and so deadly that PCs would do far better to avoid fighting…

There seem to be a lot of people laboring under this misconception. See, when you close down a Federal agency or Department, the money it was budgeted doesn’t magically “go to the states.”
It *can’t*, because there’s nobody there to direct the money anymore.

DunDraCon has a listing for a game that’s blending FASA’s Doctor Who and Star Trek RPGs…which seems close to the Platonic ideal for me.
Games aren’t scheduled yet. I hope my Strontium Dog game isn’t scheduled at the same time!

I’m hoping to run Strontium Dog at Dundracon in February. I’m calling the scenario “Abslom Daak Must Die!”

I finally played a game of 7th Sea this past weekend at #KublaconFall - it was a delightful system (1e) and a stellar GM. Truly it was all I had hoped to experience!

So I’ve been making D&D Adventurers League characters for #KublaconFall (which starts tomorrow), using the “5.5” rules (often called “D&D 2024”).
It’s OK. Process isn’t painful, and I’m sure we’ll have fun!
But as a high level overview, there are 3 things that I feel are a huge step backwards. 1/4
