While on shore leave on a remote asteroid resort you are investigated by the authorities when another resident is murdered. With 24 hours before your transport leaves you must solve the case or be caught up by the bumbling local detectives, perhaps for weeks.

A long term experimental colony has reached it's first milestone without incident. You have been sent as an outside auditor to ensure things are going as planned. However when you read through the documentation you are left puzzled as to it appears to be a standard procedure.

The automatic barges from an exotic matter factory at a safe distance from inhabited zones have stopped arriving at their destinations. Due to the danger you approach cautiously. Long range scans reveal that the factory has transformed, emitting tachyons and garbled messages.

On the trail of the notorious Harbinger pirate gang you discover that some of them have been recruited into the Kelvin System Space Force Militia. Your requests to have them extradited are refused as the Kelvin System is being threatened by the Asp Imperium and they require every spacer.

After several recent encounters that have resulted in violence the authorities have sent a negotiation troubleshooter aboard your ship, to observe and advise. They seem a little condescending; still you are surprised when they get into a fight with your communications officer.

The newly independent Montes Station has acquired some old but not entirely obsolete destroyers after being threatened by several other system polities. You and a team of veteran engineers have been sent to train the Monetaignes on them, and attempt to integrate newer equipment.

You are assigned repair bay thirteen for some minor upgrades and tuning, ignoring it's bad reputation. When you return after a shift and a half of waiting to report in headquarters you find the engine dismantled but somehow all the supplies have vanished.

Arriving at the remote Avanc Station the locals demand proof you are not robots from an automated ship. Although you are able to convince the authorities, some groups continue to doubt, and begin protesting against spyborg infiltration.

The space yacht Silky Moves has been missing for two years when you come across the wreck on the startlingly habitable planet of Loam III. Although most of the survivors are happy to be rescued, some wish to lay claim to the planet and demand you being back supplies to bootstrap the process.
