I was interested by the design of this trash can near the Enchanted Tiki Room enough last week to want to take a photo.

I don’t know how sacrilege this opinion is, but last week I enjoyed Alice in Wonderland quite a bit more than Peter Pan’s Flight.

I understand that Peter Pan makes you feel like you are flying, but the ride is only about two minutes and I felt like it ended so abruptly.

I don’t hate the changes that Disneyland has made to Pirates of the Caribbean in the past 20 years or so, but when I see the Redhead brandishing a pistol and the sad townsfolk being forced to auction their items, I’m happy I got to see the original (still-existing) scene at Tokyo Disneyland in 2019.

I think last week was my first visit to Disneyland that I knew about the Dominguez Palm (tree) and actively sought it out to take photos. I had to ask the Indiana Jones ride attendant where the tree is located.

I attended the opera live last night, but I just realized that tonight‘s show is being live streamed on YouTube at the link below.

The performance started about an hour ago if anyone is interested in watching. #TOSSatNight

If I’ m not in especially rushed & the park isn’t crowded, I like to take photos of the outside of the temple at the Indiana Jones attraction as well as the truck parked outside that was used in the Egyptian desert chase scene in Raiders of the List Ark where Indy was thrown through the windshield.

I think I’m among the large percentage of Disney traditionalists that 1) prefer the original Haunted Mansion to the Nightmare Before Christmas version, and 2) wish that the latter were limited to the last six weeks of the year and not during the Halloween season as well.

Really enjoyed the Pacific Opera Project’s Star Trek-themed production of Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio at Occidental College’s Thorne Auditorium last night. The music and story are by Mozart, but put into the world of 1960s Star Trek and with English lyrics and dialogue.

I think this on-ride video for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad from Tuesday morning turned out pretty well.

I had to edit it by about 1/3 to get it under the size limit.

I absolutely love the queue for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland . So many amazing photo opportunities.

Disneyland likes to say its California Resident discount offer, at $249 for three days, is only $83 per day. But if you add the daily parking rate of $40 per vehicle (divided by how many visitors your vehicle carries), the cost for one person becomes $123 per day, or $369 for three days w/ parking.

As much as I enjoyed my day at Disneyland on Tuesday getting to do pretty much everything I wanted to, exploring California Adventure today and hopping to Disneyland to go to ToonTown and see the Disney Archives stuff next to the Lincoln show was maybe more fun.

I took a fair number of ride videos Tuesday and Thursday at Disneyland and DCA. Almost everything I have ridden multiple times so there were no surprises, but I thought I would remember the experience better by having a video record.

I think I’ve been on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure three times now. I was disappointed the first couple of times in comparing the ride to Splash Mountain, but I felt it was fine on my visit this week. It’s a good ride in itself and can be better enjoyed without comparison to Splash Mountain.

Using the second day of my Disneyland Resort 3-Day California resident discount pass to spend the day at Disney California Adventure and enjoy the Lunar New Year festivities.

When I rode Space Mountain, I could tell the guy in front of me had his hands up for most of the ride, so I tried to lean over for the photo, but I guess it didn’t work out.

Thanks, rambunctious hippie dude, for ruining my part of the photo. 🙄

I will always miss the 1970s queue for Space Mountain at Disneyland that felt like you were walking into a space station with windows into the coaster dark track, all of which gave you a nervous excitement.

I do like the current lighting and enhancements for the loading area for the ride.
