Since the very beginning I knew I wanted to create a powerful experience in the #Airlock. Today I finally added the two last missing pieces: the physics push and the small particles. It has taken me so many years! I'm so happy right now 😄

Surprises everywhere :D
These are my space-debris special particles.
I usually scale the actor’s spawning sphere way up, so the nuts spawn far apart and the character only hits one at a time.
But this is what happened when I stumbled on an unscaled sphere.

The funny thing about making a game in zero gravity is that I always end up surprising myself when I look things the way they are not “supposed” to… 🙃

I saw this video today and I finally found the word for what I’m trying to create: a “haptic” experience.

It also pushed me to finally do this: the subtle swing of the character’s limbs.

I hope you like it, @wabbaboy.dev ! Your physics animations with #UnrealEngine are the best 😄

Another self-surprise. This is a place the player can physically reach even if it is way out of the main path. That's why I had never visited by myself before. It is a little tricky to see but this is the dark underside of the asteroid belt.

Happy surprise. I was placing spinning rings in the Asteroids level when I realized they could align if timed just right. I wanted to make some "organic" spinning eye trick since I saw the first Tomb Raider movie (original sequence in comments).
