Tonight I take on my longest duration train journey to date, breaking my previous record by around 3 1/4 hours. I’ll be heading out from Montrose to Budapest, via London, Paris and Stuttgart. 36 hours and 28 minutes of travel.

If it's this difficult to stop the super-rich buying farmland to dodge tax, if it's this difficult to get private schools to pay VAT, then imagine how many vested interests had to be overcome to set up the National Health Service.
