Mare street South of Well st junction late 17th c & early 18thC diarist Celia Fiennes lived here with her 7 servants. Celia Fiennes was born in Newton Tony, Wiltshire on the 7 June 1662 and died on 10 April 1741 in Hackney aged 78.

Technically Bethnal Green as it's just over the border marked by BOUNDARY Street, but it was so close to St Leonard's Shoreditch that most people referred to the Nichol as in Shoreditch

Regularly walked down Scriven street to the doctors in the 60s. Can't recall where exactly the doctors was but it went anyway when they built the flats.
