Be sad for his daughter, but his wife knew what kind of person he was. Her loss is real, her grief is valid but don't be empathetic to her.

Reminder: a "labor day sale" doesn't mean you have to buy anything. If they can afford for it to be that price for a sale, they can afford for it to be that price every day. Those products are likely getting to you with non-union labor and someone is getting exploited along the way.

The fact that Beainy is receiving his right to due process instead of being immediately deported shows that his political views are providing him privileges that many other detainees have illegally been denied. It was never about immigration, it has always been about selective racism.

Lowering the requirements to join ICE is frightening. They're putting guns in the hands of racists who have no education in immigration policy or human rights. Oh wait, our President doesn't have those qualifications either.

If he wants to run the country like a business, then we need HR to sit him down and tell him his behavior is deplorable and he needs to pack his things. If any other world leader spoke or behaved the way he does they'd have been fired (or worse) by now.

My high school students took a field trip to a Holocaust museum yesterday and the parallels to what was happening then and what is happening now are way too close for comfort. History doesn't repeat itself. We repeat history.
