Wandering down the aisles of Melbourne’s lost Italian language cinemas, cassata balanced precariously on a paper plate… I’ve enjoyed being part of the research & production team for this new podcast. Teaser here: podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/t...

An observation from my 18-y-old about social media during the election campaign. He reckons that ALP smashed the LNP in memes etc - and he’s not particularly political (as in: doesn’t read the news). This might actually be more significant than we might imagine in shaping the election results.

Ok so I’m very relieved by the Australian election result but I also want to acknowledge that opposition leader Dutton (who lost his seat!) has *accepted* the loss and is NOT doing a Trump sore loser act.

Can’t reply directly to these unsolicited texts during the Australian federal election campaign so sharing my response here instead. Background for people outside Australia: a Trump-influenced party is trying to foment division over the practice of First Nations Welcome to Country ceremonies.

Made the shortlist for the Whickers podcast pitch awards! I’ve been working on this project about Mavis Robertson for a couple of years now & the thought that I *might* get the funds to make the series I first imagined back in 2022 is a bit thrilling. & if I don’t win I feel encouraged anyway
