Most of the time I'm tempted to talk about how standards of what gaze determines how the art in D&D materials is drawn has changed over the years and what that says about the hobby grappling with its own legacy, but you do fear becoming the "goblins are less fuckable now and that's feminism" guy.

As a D&D GM, I've found it's helpful to have a number of villains at once. You're never going to make every NPC like you want, so this way you can take the ones who don't sell well and make them pathetic and silly instead of imposing.
