I observe the areas of friction in the dog-human bond to investigate what these reveal about our humanity. Art meets spirituality meets science.
A large public exhibit of Pit Bull Flower Power is on view at The Seaport in Manhattan NY (it will stay up for a whole year until June 2026). Over 60 images, many larger-than-life of shelter pit bulls who found homes 🌸🐶

My fascination with dog collars reached new levels with this series of ceramic collars I’ve been working on. The series is called “The End of Love” and offers a reflection on collars and the way we “love” our dogs. Collars can be both symbols of safety and care, and means of control and abuse.

I did my thing again. This is Lala (fka Chili). I photographed her as a puppy a couple years ago. She was recently returned to the shelter when her family couldn’t afford her skin allergy treatments. I used her baby crown for inspiration and made her a bigger one. Good luck Lala!

The pottery studio has been my refuge these past months. I’m working on a line of sacred objects inspired by our spiritual bond with dogs and my calling as an animal chaplain. 🖤 This vessel is inspired by the role of psychopomps dogs play in cosmologies around the world.
