Yo I'm doing starting a new thing. Slow reading! Online! Animals!

Open to anyone, with no prior reading or experience needed to join other than an interest in animals and reading with others.

it’s so funny reading old books. tbf this is preferable to the awkard he/she, overtaken now by just 'she'. WHEN ALL THIS TIME, THE GENDER NEUTRAL 'THEY' IS RIGHT THERE.

i can't believe i'm saying this but i need the tech bros (gender neutral) to weigh in
a question for the tech folks...

i’m helping someone build a VERY simple, 1pg static site (11ty + netlify or github pages probs). i want to show them how to update it themselves...

should I just keep them in github or show them how to use the CLI and an editor?

i read an article about how Clarkson's gross politics didn't come through in his farming show (compared to things he's said/written elsewhere)

i'm watching the show (for research) and i've never really paid attention to the silly man but he must be absolutely vile elsewhere if this is good

existence is just a rolling experience of 'unprecedented times' and the whole eschatology schtick is, i'm sorry, boring and unproductive

remembering how to do academic writing ... slower than I‘d like
also not helped by my tendency to read 10 things to write one sentence.

i’ve been getting up at 5-ish for almost 2 weeks now and the biggest issue so far is how many meals I have to eat before midday.

realised that i accidentally ordered a french copy of Foucault by Deleuze BUT ITS FINE because turns out i have an english copy already :|

if anyone wants the french one, lmk. my french does not extend to reading philosophy.
despite the fact that i have a spreadsheet where i have labouriously documented every single book i own... i still regularly buy duplicates. what is wrong with me?!

if i ever leave this neighbourhood, the thing i'll miss the most is my gym bros. it took a year, but i'm at the hi-nod, the fist bump with real regulars, and even 1st name basis with some!

today, i got (solicited) advice on a new move. i love my guys.

it's so funny to have worked (briefly) on an app with loads of ai integrations because all of us tech workers complain about all the platforms pushing ai on us constantly.

no one wants this!
