I’m sorry I missed this. I would’ve briefly hopped off sobriety to celebrate in the moment. Oklahoma State football coach & POS human Mike Gundy Is A Fired Man, Over 40. As it is, I am pleased as punch they kicked Gundy to the curb. He was always overrated with often underrated teams.

Oklahoma State has announced that head football coach Mike Gundy has been relieved of his duties, bringing an end to a 20-year run at the school. The final straw seems to have come after last Friday’s embarrassing 19-12 loss to Tulsa at home, which officially dropped the Cowboys to 1-2 for the season. The game…

"Constantly bound by craving and fear to a future full of uncertainties, we strip each present moment of its calm, its intrinsic import, which we are unable to enjoy. And so, the future destroys the present."

― Hannah Arendt (h/t Take on Rules)
On the Calm of the Present
I’ve been reading more, but am in a bit of a lull (as in only 45 minutes of reading each of the last 4 days). And I’m not quite feeling like writing either. As though I’m missing something. So I pull a random quote from amongst those I’ve collected, as though consulting the oracle: Constantly bound by craving and fear to a future full of uncertainties, we strip each present moment of its calm, its intrinsic import, which we are unable to enjoy. And so, the future destroys the present.
