Apparently Putin has been making war with Europe threats again.

I'd like to think his odds aren't very good but you never know these days

I'd forgotten about Suckerberg and his AI glasses. There's nothing that would make me even consider buying them (especially as I already need glasses to see clearly so they wouldn't work for me anyway)

Now that I'm back to job hunting against it's nice to see stuff hasn't changed much. Several dozen AI trainer jobs plus a few jobs that could maybe do with some revision:

Handyman/woman finisher (there's a few of these)

Warehouseman/woman/forklift driver

Just seen this scenario posed on faceache:

Blue Vs Red

If 50%+ pick blue, nobody dies
If less than 50% pick blue, anyone who picked blue dies
Anyone who picks red won't die

Some claim the red pickers are selfish.

Nah, we just know how people vote against their interests to make others suffer

Managed to get my hands on both Santa's Secret Flavour Pringles and Gingerbread Doritos.

I don't have a particularly strong opinion of either but neither would be getting touched again

Got served by my first transperson today which I thought was cool

Not at cool as the other customers not even batting an eyelid as far as I could tell

Just how it should be

Finished and passed all the exams for the course, struggled with the role play (as per usual).

Graduation next week

Indeed suspended my account for no reason, didn't tell me.

Appealed it, demanding an explanation, they just unsuspended it, without explanation

Least UK church's seem to care more about the types of people joining than some US branches.

Given there were Jews who supported the Nazi party I'm not at all surprised there are Jews once again planning to vote against their own interests in Reform

The more I see some of these scenarios the more I'm starting to feel like I'm not cut out for being an IT SDA. I struggle with hypotheticals and I just don't have the knowledge or experience to handle them
November 19, 2025 at 12:33 PM
Who the hell comes up with these scenarios?

"You have lost all the photos in your phone. You didn't have these backed up up anywhere and would be very upset if they are lost forever. You're contacting IT to work out what happened and how you might be able to retrieve them"

They gone boo, move on

Still can't get over how many people ask things online (by posting on social media for example) instead of just typing their question into their favourite search engine.

Like, even with the crappy AI responses from googling, it's still a better answer than some random will give you

We're being spoken to by one of the original graduates from the first course this company did

"Don't rely on AI slop, do the work yourself"

I like this guy

Wtf? Trying to sell AI slop to furries it seems
November 17, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Some of these scenarios we have to do are insane.

One is for someone who is partially sighted, their screen (vague in itself) is stuck in low contrast with haptic feedback turned off and the user can't see or feel the buttons.

I wouldn't even know where to begin with that one.

Nice to see that shops engage in own brand shrinkflation:

Used to be able to buy 4 Asda essentials frozen cheese and bean slices for £1, you now only get 2 for £1

Still hate the roleplays for this course, though now I have a new reason on account of the tutor adding new possibilities onto a roleplay that literally tells us what to do (no matter what solution the SDA offers, none of them work and they must redirect or escalate the issue)
November 12, 2025 at 5:54 PM
Rupert Lowe wanting a referendum on bringing back the death penalty and a disturbing number of people keen to see this.

They think it's a deterrent - you need only look to certain US states to see this isn't true

They probably think they won't be affected - again, see US

Fools

Seeing a lot of Trump BBC Farage bollocks

You know, they could just air a series of unedited clips of Trump with full context

But it wouldn't make him look any better, it'd make it worse if anything
