Yes, it can get tiresome, or old--like cat furries being called "lazy" all the time--but I look at it as my friends seeing me as my cat-anthro self, something I appreciate very much! It's fun to have that furry dynamic going. ;D

I like this kind of playful stereotyping. I see it as a way of acknowledging someone's fursona species and validating them.

When I'm interested in what a non-fox furry friend is doing, I'll ask in a casual, friendly way, "What are you doing?
When I ask a fox furry friend the same thing, it's, "What are you up to?"
