Never thought anyone would want to “be” like something I created? The thing about art is despite an artist’s intent a work can have a deeper meaning to others.

I do wish it went better. But them kind of thinking they could pull a fast one and take credit for what they thought was an orphan work and underestimated the folks that knew where the art came from.
It got kind of nasty. I don’t want to discourage another artist we all start some where, right?

Thanks 🙂 yeah, Ugg lol Seems like all the search engines are pretty lousy these days. I tried to do an image search on this image and all google pulled up was where it was reposted and not the source which was my FA or DA

The ring is actully real I used to wear it on my left hand, It’s a spinning ring.
I used to work it into a lot of my original characters in some fashion. Some had it on their hands she got it as a toe ring 😆

Yeah it was a whole mess. all they did was give the character a skull dog face and add some traced flower tattoo flash art on the edges and called it a day.

But That’s the biggest problem with art on the net everyone wants to get that attention no matter what it doesn’t matter if they steel to try to get it.

Even if you can’t find the original work you can write oh hey this was inspired by another artists work if you recognize it please tell me I would like to properly credit them.

Here is the thing. I have no issues with people being inspired by my work to make a derivative work but give credit where credit is due.
It’s not that hard? Say in spired by the work and the artists name.
In comics if another artist redraws a cover they always say after and the artists name

When they were called out for it they doubled down even though the evidence was clear when some one posted an overlay of the works

This dingo girl tank mechanic I drew was a print I had at AC07. It was drawn on paper and inked with a brush. Got a lot of very nice comments for this one over the years🙂
