Professor Li Exian of the School of Foreign Languages at CCNU recalled his encounter with Daisaku Ikeda and expressed his hope that younger generations would carry on Mr. Ikeda’s legacy and further Sino-Japanese relations. Representatives from both sides gave presentations on their initiatives to promote friendship between the two countries. On Sept. 18, students from 3 high schools visited the exhibition held at the National Congress, where Soka Gakkai representatives gave a presentation and engaged with students in a discussion on the challenges of fostering peace. On Sept. 19, the exhibition was displayed at the National Library, with students from 2 high schools in attendance. The delegation also visited the Enlai Foundation office in Beijing and met with Founding President Zhou Bingde, close relative of the former Chinese premier Zhou Enlai, as well as Chairperson Shen Qing. This marks the first time a dialogue between Daisaku Ikeda and an African scholar has been published in Africa. A book launch was held in Nairobi, attended by a Soka Gakkai delegation from Japan.
