Since we got our character style down, our artists are now exploring background styles!

Here's a beautiful pitch by Angawd, featuring various types of foliage and rocks! Our inspirations include the Lion Guard, Leafie: A Hen Into the Wild, and various fandom artists!

I'm not sure a fully painted background would fit well with our established character style - maybe try lasso tool combined with textures and indications of lines without doing full line art around everything?" A small note next to some of the rocks can also be seen, which says: "Inspired by Lion Guard pilot rocks."

In Soaring Three, the floating islands are the result of a small lack of gravity. If you look closely, you can even see bubbles next to the waterfalls 🫧✨️

Some gorgeous Moonpool concepts by Braver!

Since floating islands are a major part of the environments within #soaringthree, the second concept explores the idea of the Moonpool's waters flowing from them.

Behind the waterfall is also the den of someone very important... can you guess who it is?

This was of course a huge obstacle, seeing as our cast consists of winged cats. So with help from the lovely @showtunecockatoo.bsky.social and Wind we managed to rework the wings into what you see now, illustrated by @rosia4309.bsky.social! What do you think of these new wings? Let us know! (2/2)
