So I’ve not been as active here as I would’ve expected. That said, life has also just been…kinda busy. Projects that I have planned tend to get started and then…just not completed.
I’ve set in motion the first parts of my plan to move back to Japan though, so the next 18+ months will be…busier

As someone whose job is directly and negatively affected by the visa policies in the US, this is not a welcome sight as I know firsthand how rough this stuff is.
Hopefully common sense prevails as I admittedly a bit selfishly continue to focus on my own permanent move back to Japan in the future.

As someone whose job is directly and negatively affected by the visa policies in the US, this is not a welcome sight as I know firsthand how rough this stuff is.

Tonight I picked up WaniKani again after a 6 and a half month layoff. I am honestly surprised at how much I remembered from the small sample size I made it through
(I have over 3000 burned items and another 2700 reviews to go through before I start my next level)

Been a crazy past month, haven’t worked on the repository at all but for good reason: my first permanent job opportunity in exactly three years kinda fell in my lap this month, and I had a couple of successful interviews a week or so ago, and I hopefully will start next week!

I hate how hard it is to find consistently good motorsports coverage these days, for any motorsport at all. Networks actually cared about production value—I wasn’t alive soon enough to experience SpeedWorld, etc., but the tapes I’ve seen suggest it was a blast.

The repository is coming along nicely! I haven’t had as much motivation as I’d hoped (and also had life circumstances that have made it hard to work at times), but I have all the information taken care of for a couple big promotions’ entire rosters and the outline laid out!

Seeing KTM enter self-administration is…disconcerting to say the least. Things haven’t been good for them for a while and it’s shown a bit in their motorsports over the past couple years, but the last thing MotoGP needs is to lose its most colorful manufacturer…
