In 2025, I’m not making any more resolutions. I’m making PROMISES to myself. Resolutions give too much room to flake. Resolutions are desires. Aspirations. Promises are just that. Non-negotiables. And I’m starting before 2024 is over.

People want Hov to be found guilty because it’ll be a bigger moment than if he’s cleared & everything goes back to normal & it’s one of the sickest things about social media. A reminder people are inherently selfish - they don’t want what’s best for you They want what’s best for their platforms.

Unless it’s the niche subculture of sneakers because somehow those not part of it who just got here during COVID to get famous have been celebrated, amplified & compensated very well with brand deals & trips. Wild. This is a great thread, btw
The other week I was talking to my marketing class about subcultures and niche communities, and how to navigate marketing to them when you're not part of the community bc if people let you in and then feel like you're infiltrating, perpetrating, anything disingenuous, the rejection is swift...

Momentum is cool & all, but what about when things aren’t clicking? When things aren’t going your way? When you’re broke? Can you stick it out then? Cause a lotta people in sneakers I see are only as motivated as their achievements & that’s a shaky foundation.
