This is Nyla. She’s about 6 months-old and FeLV+. Nyla was found in Willows, CA, with a blow dart through her abdomen! Thankfully, the bowel wasn't perforated. Nyla was rescued by Catnip and Cattitude who will be bringing her here today at about 1 pm.

Samson is a very active, playful, loving kitty who, despite missing the bottom half of a rear leg, can keep up with any and all of our kitties here! Samson is also a lap cat who loves attention.

Samson is also a lap cat, who loves attention and loves to be in the middle of any activity. Samson’s rear leg (missing the bottom half) won’t need any special medical care. Just an occasional looksie to make sure it’s healthy and sore-free. Samson was rescued with his sister, Delilah, and although they arrived here bonded, they can be adopted separately. That said, Samson still enjoys playing with his sister (a lot) so it’d be nice to see them adopted together. Delilah is also missing the bottom haf of a rear leg, plus the toes on the other rear paw). Pumpkin and Zoe are 8 months 1 week-old and need sponsors! SNAP Cats rescued Pumpkin and Zoe from Orange County. ACTUALLY, we rescued their mom from Orange County where she and two other females were being abused.
TWO FOR TUESDAY! Pumpkin and Zoe are 8 months 1 week-old and need sponsors! SNAP Cats rescued Pumpkin and Zoe from Orange County. ACTUALLY, we rescued their mom from Orange County where she and two other females were being abused. Little did we know that their mom was, well, pregnant, and a week later out popped 5 kittens! Two of the five (Brittany and Dora) have been adopted, which leaves Pumpkin, Zoe and Cali. Cali hasn’t been fixed yet so she’s still not available (unless you just can’t live without her in which case we’ll make an exception!). Pumpkin and Zoe (Zoe’s a polydactyl) are kinda bonded so we’d like to see them adopted together. Both are very playful, but can be a bit skittish at times, but we think once they’re in a “calmer” environment they’ll open up and be fine. They’ll just need a little time to adjust. They love attention, and will follow you around for pets and rubs. Sage’s (and Isa’s) ataxia is mild+. His back end sways side-to-side a bit when he walks/runs. But he doesn’t fall or need any kind of assistance to get where he wants to go, including atop cat tress, shelves and counters. Sage (and Isa) will make a wonderful addition to anyone looking for an affectionate, loving kitty! Although we’d love to see Sage and Isa adopted together, they’re not bonded. WHITE CAT WEDNESDAY! Coconut (a.k.a. Kookie Nut) is 5 years 2 months-old and sponsored by Stephanie Upton. SNAP Cats rescued Coconut from Bakersfield, CA, where he was going to be euthanized for being FIV+. Yes, that still happens today! Which is SO sad because Coconut is such a sweet, super friendly (kookie) cat that loves human attention. He’s the first kitty to greet you when you enter the room. Coconut can be combative with other cats, especially when there's wet food involved. So Coconut would be best as an only cat. (And we learned the other day that he's a great mouser! One managed to get in here and Coconut didn't waste any time grabbing it.) That said, Coconut still needs to be an indoor-only cat. BTW: Please don't be afraid of FIV. It's nothing. Really. Slightly compromised immune system. That's it. Just like a FIV- cat, Coconut will live a long, healthy life if you take good care of him. Lotus went to the emergency vet this morning. We’re not sure what’s going on, but she’s losing weight and her UTI is chronic. Her bloodwork was unremarkable (that’s good) and she’s receiving an ultrasound this afternoon.

Well known for embracing animal causes, Mutt Lynch Winery is hosting a benefit for SNAP Cats tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 24) from 4-7 p.m., at its tasting room, 9050 Windsor Rd., just off the Windsor Town Green. Expect music, raffles, prizes for creative Pawloween costumes and winemaker Brenda Lynch's small-lot varietals (Chard, Pinot, Zin, Cab) and blends. Long story short: Neighbor feeding ferals. Not fixing them. Dementia worsens. Sons take her away. All cats, domesticated and feral, abandoned.

Names her Blue. Abandoned cats start getting adopted by neighbors and guests at a nearby Airbnb. Yay! Blue is overlooked, though, due to, well, CH. Boo! Which sucks because, according to Mia, “she’s really sweet, lovely female kitty, Siamese and Tabby mix, very food motivated, but also easily creates that Oxytocin link!” Gotta admire the “Oxytocin” note. Which is SO sad because Coconut is such a sweet, super friendly (kookie) cat that loves human attention. He’s the first kitty to greet you when you enter the room. Coconut can be combative with other cats, especially when there's wet food involved, but mellows a bit once he gets to know them. Coconut would be best as an only cat, but would probably be fine with an older cat that keeps to themselves. (And we learned the other day that he's a great mouser! One managed to get in here and Coconut didn't waste any time grabbing it.) That said, Coconut still needs to be an indoor-only cat. BTW: Please don't be afraid of FIV. It's nothing. Really. Slightly compromised immune system. That's it. Just like a FIV- cat, Coconut will live a long, healthy life if you take good care of him.
