I’ve seen saw whets on occasion here in Michigan. Of note they are one of the smallest species of owl, averaging around 7-8 inches in length. Awesome birds and thanks for sharing your photos!

Yeah you’re probably right because barred owls have black eyes. I’m in Michigan and I’ve only a Great Gray once. I see barred owls every year though, and was lucky enough to see a group of short eared owls a couple weeks ago. All owls are awesome though, one of the coolest bird species!

I feel like there’s too many awesome looking super common birds. Both Blue Jays and Cardinals are strikingly beautiful, but you see them so often it kind of numbs you.

I had no control on X. Everything I saw was just being forced on me. My FYP was constantly filled with AI promoters from India. I incessantly reported their posts as not relevant, but after awhile, these posts would just start showing up again. It’s nice to have control back again!

I tried going vegan for a year but my health fell off a cliff. We’re all genetically different, and I don’t thrive on a purely plant based diet. Now I eat animal protein and most of it is regeneratively raised, or at the very least not raised in CAFOs.
