A quick sketch of Tucson’s iconic Fox Theatre — a 1930s Art Deco gem that’s seen nearly a century of velvet curtains, marquee lights, and desert nights. I’m looking forward to bringing it to life in paint next week.

Painting water reflections in Tucson is quite the treat. Sweetwater Wetlands bird refuge had it all…palm trees, cobalt reflections, and colorful birds.

My husband and I had just driven from AZ to my mom’s house in central MT. The sunset that evening lit up the sky with luminous pastels and glowing greens before the sun dipped behind the horizon.
