Gratefully Australian. Unapologetically anti-fascist.
I don’t know if you know this, but if you want to read a book, and your public library doesn’t have the book, you can ask them to order it and the usually will. Then other people can also read the awesome books after you. How good is that? @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social

Just a reminder that there is no scarcity, only Capitalism. There is hoarding of housing by the rich. There is price gouging by corporations. There is unemployment by policy to keep wages down.

We could have a utopia with more than enough to go around, but greed and power fuck us at every turn.

Don’t allow them any grey areas.

If there are Nazis in your party and you’re still in the party, you’re a Nazi.

If you’re a politician and you’re cozying up to a party of Nazis, you’re a Nazi.

There is no “wait and see”.

I was really please to see Wake Up and Open Your Eyes by @claymcleod.bsky.social on display at the library. This is a suburban library in Melbourne, Australia. Someone at the branch has good taste.

Would you believe Fairy Tale is the 64th @stephenking.bsky.social book I’ve read. I thought it would be in the 40s. Ten to go (and hopefully many more to come).

Well, the internet’s been out for over an hour. Having a giggle that the Bluray of Children of Men warned me that Bluray is a new technology and some features may not work on all player.

At least it works and 🙏🏻 for physical media.

Children of Men may not be the chirpiest of distopias to visit right now, but Michael Caine is a fucking delight.

Tesla sales tanking by 60% in Australia is not the good news I want but it’s a silver lining I’ll take.

In hindsight, when people started to think Star Wars Stormtroopers were fun, that should have been a red flag.

We are not living in unprecedented times. They are quite precedented.

We are not in uncharted territory. These territories have been extensively charted.

We may be living on the ̶d̶a̶r̶k̶e̶s̶t̶ dumbest timeline though. And I’m not sure what to do with that.

What were your first horror movie and the one that scared you the most?

Mine are The Evil Dead – which scared the pants of me when I was 14 – and Sinster which had no right to be that creepy. #horrorthreads

You gotta admit, it’s ironic that the people stocking up on AR-15s in case they need to overthrow a tyrannical government are the ones who voted for the tyrannical government.

It says everything when people proclaim diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies as a problem, but nepotism and cronyism are business as usual.

It’s racism, bigotry and exclusion, pure and simple.
