You may have heard me mention that we’ve been doing a follow-up study of our 2020 diffusion chain study which compared how autistic groups, non-autistic groups and mixed groups share information and build rapport (published in @journalautism.bsky.social journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10....)

I was going through my account on the old site & making sure I have copies of useful resources before deleting. I thought it might be nice to post some here. This is Rachael Langley’s handout on healthy prompting around AAC use. #AugComm #ATChat #BskySpeechies

I'm working on ways to make schools more sustainable with a charity. We also really want to take into consideration how this could help students with additional needs.
If you don't mind me asking, what do you think are some of the most important things that would make the built environment better?

The ban targets social media that allows users to interact socially with others. This will impact young people's ability to seek connection and interaction - including for YP with communication disability, who value social media because of the opportunities it provides for these things. #SLP
Some quick insight from me on the social media ban from me. In writing this I will also say hats off to @crikeynews.bsky.social, they are clearly one of the only news outlets that have done any real journalism around this awful policy and the road we've travelled. theconversation.com/the-governme...
The government has introduced laws for its social media ban. But key details are still missing
The ban will affect platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat. But the bill is vague about how exactly these platforms must comply.
