basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

I’ve been devoting all of my spare time for about a week to this Robyn body talk costume and it’s just about finished in time for spooky bear 😎

I set up my phone to time lapse my Halloween crafting for the sake of vanity but also so I could lock in/be off my phone

The video is somehow more depraved than the description suggests it is
Andrew Cuomo’s campaign just posted — and quickly deleted — this AI-generated ad depicting “criminals for Zohran Mamdani.”

Features a Black man in a keffiyeh shoplifting, an abuser, a trespasser, a trafficker, a drug dealer, and a drunk driver all declaring support for Mamdani.

My best Halloween costume idea so far is Robyn on the cover of Body Talk but I’m concerned that I’ll just look like a weird ass ghost

Charlie Kirk was a fascist and paid agitator for powerful interests who gleefully spread dangerous misinformation, targeted vulnerable groups and academics for harassment, glorified the violent, helped fuel the Jan 6 insurrection, and ultimately contributed the impoverishment of our discourse.

I've been a pretty consistent proponent of a progressive abundance agenda, so it's pretty dismaying to see the Abundance Conference bending over backwards to try and bring outright racists and fascists into the tent.
abundance con. where you can hear radical pro-abundance moves like "we should deport more immigrants" and "what if we had more tariffs"

I’d been meaning to read Abundance and picked it up for a beach vacation. I had enough friends inquire about it that I’m gonna do a chapter by chapter read along thread with my reactions. This will be a long thread that I’ll update as I go over the coming week or so!

What’s up with the Duolingo ad for the game where you kill a bunch of polar bears? It’s like FarmVille but the base currency is polar bear meat??

We're just gonna say it: this proposal sucks! Our position is that this proposal is deeply unserious and doesn't contain a long-term funding solution for SEPTA. Raiding our capital dollars to pay for operations is a lose-lose proposition for everyone, not just Philly!
Pennsylvania Senate Republicans are proposing two years of spending for mass transit. But SEPTA says it would make things worse.

The move likely means that the state’s seven-week budget impasse continues.
