We have lost Mark Knoller, whose funeral was held today. He was a good journalist and radio man and had a great memory for White House and presidential details and stats. May his memory be a blessing.

Morning music: Handel's Suite No. 3 in D Minor, III. Allemande. Many artists play these suites on harpsichord, as they were written. I think they sound better on piano and that Handel would agree, but I don't love the sound of a harpsichord.

15 years ago today, I had a #PeriacetabularOsteotomy, a procedure that corrects hip dysplasia. I had the other hip fixed in August 2011. Today, both hips feel fine. My thanks to Dr. Millis and team at Boston Children's Hospital, surgery and ortho at BIDMC, and my partner. ❤️ #PAO #HEDS #hypermobility
